For this impactful publication by the Balkans Policy Research Group (BPRG), I had the privilege of designing both the cover and interior layout. The design approach reflects the gravity and urgency of the subject matter: the long-standing visa regime restrictions faced by Kosovo and its citizens.
The cover design combines a stark, modern aesthetic with symbolic elements to convey the sense of limitation and hope inherent in the visa issue. By using contrasting imagery, the cover visually captures the tension between the European Union's promises of integration and the continued isolation of Kosovo. The bold typography is designed to command attention, while a muted color palette underscores the somber tone of the report.
For the layout, I prioritized clarity and accessibility, ensuring that complex policy discussions were presented in a visually digestible format. Clean lines, spacious margins, and a consistent typographic style provide a professional yet approachable presentation, allowing the report’s content to shine without distraction. The design ensures a seamless reading experience, enhancing the accessibility of the critical insights and research presented throughout.
In all, the design aims to complement and amplify the report’s message, highlighting the importance of the issue while also making it visually engaging for a wide audience, from policymakers to everyday readers interested in the future of Kosovo and its European integration.
